Photo of the Day: Rich Dobson Promoted to Fire Captain

Dobson was promoted from lieutenant

At Monday night's city council meeting, Lt. Rich Dobson was promoted to captain, and sworn into the new position by Mayor William Roth. Dobson has been with the department since 1985, according to acting fire Chief Russ Hose.

In the last 26 years, Hose said Dobson has responded to just shy of 9,000 calls. He is also a member of the Summit County HAZMAT and SWAT teams.

"I am honored and blessed to have spent the first 26 years of my career in Fairlawn," Dobson said. "I can't imagine a better group of people to work with or for."
