Officer Goes Back and Fixes Damage his Car Caused: Police Blotter

The following information was provided by the Bath Township Police Department

A Tee Drive resident complained to police that someone had turfed her front lawn, leaving deep tire tracks.

It wasn't a tough crime to solve. A police officer said he made the tracks going to an emergency.

According to a July 26 report, the the officer went onto the lawn to get around a backhoe that was blocking the street as he was responding to a call of someone having a heart attack.

"The officer deemed the response to be an emergency and drove on the lawn to reach the home of the citizen with the medical emergency," the report said.

The officer later returned to the home and repaired the damage. Grass seed, topsoil, fertilizer and straw were placed in the tire marks, the report said.
