No Smoking — of ANY Kind: Police Blotter

The following information was provided by the Bath Township Police Department

Police were called the Holiday Inn Aug. 24 after an employee smelled marijuana coming from a room on the third floor.

Officers were eventually able to pinpoint the room and knocked, but no one answered.

Because the hotel has a no-smoking policy, a clerk then opened the door with a key to ask the guests to leave.

There was no one inside, and nothing left behind — other than a strong smell of marijuana and some ashes in the toilet, a report said.

The clerk closed out the reservation and agreed to call police back if the guests return.
