Meth, Theft and a Lie: A Cuyahoga Falls Woman Strikes Out

A 24-year-old Cuyahoga Falls woman just couldn't get it right when she was caught by police for stealing on March 28.

received a call from about a woman who had just taken $54 in toothbrush refills off the shelf, concealed them and walked out of the store. She was seen driving east on West Market Street, according to Fairlawn police.

Officers caught up with her turning left onto Smith Road and pulled her over. The officer told the woman why he pulled her over and asked for her identification. She told the officer she didn't have any because the security guard at Walmart took it from her.

Police arrested the woman and when they searched her car, they found a wallet with her ID in it, along with a little envelope of methamphetamine. The woman told police she has been clean for three months and that it must have just been leftover.

Police said the woman was also wanted in Statesboro, GA, for six counts of forgery.

She was taken to the Summit County Jail and police charged her with theft and possession of drugs.
