The following information was supplied by the Fairlawn Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

A 55-year-old Akron man suspected of shoplifting $250 worth of items from one store fled from security there and ran into another nearby store, where he was found and arrested by a officer.

Police were called at 10:53 a.m. Dec. 17 by a employee who said a store loss prevention agent was watching a man selecting and concealing miscellaneous merchandise items inside a white plastic bag he was carrying.

The man fled Marc’s while the loss prevention agent was attempting to stop him. A Fairlawn officer spotted the man entering , which is located in the rear of the same plaza that Marc’s is in.
