Impaired Man Caught with Loaded Gun, Bag of Syringes

When officers arrived, the report said they could tell the 31-year-old Tallmadge man was impaired, and they found he was also driving with a suspended license. While police searched his car, they found a loaded handgun, 50 Sudafed pills, a digital scale and three bags of syringes, police said.

The car he was driving was stolen from an Akron repair shop. The man was arrested and taken to the Summit County Jail. Police charged him with receiving stolen property, carrying a concealed weapon and illegal possession of a handgun.
