Fake Alarm System Letters Filtering Through Bath Township

Information provided by the Bath Township Police Department.

 

Two Lake Point Drive homeowners received fake letters from ADT Alarm Systems within a week of each other, according to Bath police.

The first letter came in a handwritten envelope, addressed to the homeowner and her husband. Inside was a handwritten advertisement for ADT Alarm Systems with a promotional code, the police report said.

The second letter was also handwritten to a Lake Point Drive homeowner but the letter said it was regarding the installation of an alarm system at that address.

A police officer called an ADT representative who said the ads were not legitimate and should be disregarded.

The detective bureau is investigating.
