Fake $100 Bills Passed at Five Stores in Bath

The following information was supplied by the Bath Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Two young women were arrested by on Nov. 3, accused of paying for small amounts of merchandise with fake $100 bills at five retail stores in the township.

Police received reports of forged bills being spent by the two women, ages 22 and 24, at , , , and .

Police said the women made small purchases at each store, paid for the items with a bogus $100 bill, received change and then left each store.

Police found the women, and witnesses identified them as the women who passed the forged money. The women were arrested and taken to the Bath Police Department for processing, then taken to the Summit County Jail in Akron.
