Fairlawn Police: Shoplifting, Breaking and Entering

Information is provided by Fairlawn police.

Theft/shoplifting

• A customer left her wallet at the store at Summit Mall at about 7 p.m. July 19, and when she returned to the store the wallet was gone. Her credit card carrier told her that someone had charged $381 for sunglasses at the Sunglass Hut and $212 at Radio Shack on her card. A male and female were seen on camera making the purchases, police said.  

• A security  camera operator saw a man remove seven Ralph Lauren Polo shirts valued at $297 from the Summit Mall at about 6:15 p.m. July 19. He fled the mall parking lot, crossing over West Market Street, and he was apprehended after a foot chase behind 3090 W. Market St. with a bag containing the shirts.

Breaking and Entering

The front door of , 3067 W. Market St., was pried open between July 14 and July 17. A laptop computer valued at $500 and about $40 in cash were taken.
