Fairlawn Police Blotter: Woman Hides Jewelry in Her Pantyhose, Roommate Pulls Shotgun and More.

The following arrest information was supplied by the Fairlawn Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Theft, drug abuse and tampering with drugs: A woman was seen taking several items of clothing and jewelry into a changing room at at Summit Mall, then leaving the store without paying for the items.

According to a police report, Darcy N. Heerema, 39, of Doylestown was stopped outside the store. During a search, police discovered $1,295 of jewelry concealed in her pantyhose. Heerema was arrested for felony theft and taken to Fairlawn, where three oxycodone and clonazepam pills were found in her purse, along with a short blue straw with white residue. She was charged with felony theft and the two drug-related misdemeanors.

Carrying a concealed weapon, disorderly conduct while intoxicated and resisting arrest: While responding to an alarm at at 5:10 a.m. Tuesday, police discovered Matthew Lopresti, 19, of Mogadore , trying to flag down traffic by standing in the middle of West Market Street near .

When approached, Lopresti told an officer he was trying to get a ride. He refused to leave the road and began swearing. According to police Lopresti ran into the woods behind an office building near the restaurant when another officer arrived. He was caught in the woods, and during the search a four-inch switch blade knife was found in his front pocket. He was arrested for three misdemeanor counts and taken to the Summit County Jail.

Aggravated menacing, using a firearm while intoxicated: A Fairlawn man was arrested after an argument with his roommate over a room fan.

According to a police report, William Peterson told Fairlawn Police that his roommate pointed a shotgun at him in the apartment they share on South Miller Road  at 9 p.m. Wednesday and yelled, “Get out of the house or you’re dead!”

Police searched the apartment and discovered an unloaded shotgun on the be bed belonging to roommate Barry King, 31.

King denied pointing the shotgun at anyone. He was arrested on two misdemeanor counts and taken to the Summit County Jail.
