Fairlawn Police Blotter: Stoner Avenue Resident Caught with Pot and More.

Drug Possession
An Akron woman stopped by Fairlawn police at Juno Place and Miller Road was arrested for misdemeanor drug possession at 9:15 p.m. Monday.
According to a police report, during the traffic stop an officer “detected the odor of marijuana masked by perfume.” Denae Truss, 22, of Stoner Avenue, Akron, gave police permission to search her car. A small amount of marijuana was discovered in the search. Truss was charged and released with a summons.

Theft-Deceptiion
An employee at was arrested Thursday (Sept. 1) for using old receipts to fraudulently attain money on a target gift card. Deidre L. Page, 39, of Westwood Avenue, Akron, was charged with theft by deception. She is accused of using old receipts to get money, which was applied to the gift card.

Theft
Two women were arrested at 2 p.m. Wednesday (Aug. 31) after they were discovered hiding clothing and other items in a baby stroller at in Summit Mall. Autumn T. Traster, 19, of Akron, and Brittany R. Owens, 19, of Akron, were arrested when they tried to leave the store without paying. Police recovered merchandise valued at $278.
