Krebs, 33, came into contact with underground wiring in a 9-foot hole while he was alone after operating a backhoe around 1:15 p.m., reports The Plain Dealer. A co-worker said he found the 33-year-old unresponsive.

The country club was working on replacing a damaged irrigation pipe.

FirstEnergy and the federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration responded, according to The Plain Dealer.
