Fairlawn Fire and Rescue Association Establishes New Scholarship
The second scholarship honors a retired Fairlawn medical director.
It's the second scholarship established by the Fairlawn Fire and Rescue Association and a Copley High School graduating senior will receive $500 to continue her or his education in emergency services.
“In 2001, the Fairlawn Fire and Rescue Association established an ongoing scholarship in the name of Firefighter George Primes after his untimely death,” Fairlawn Fire Chief Russell Hose said in this Akron.com story. “Well, I’m proud to announce that on Thursday, May 3, the Fairlawn Fire and Rescue Association awarded its second ongoing scholarship.”
