On May 12, a drunk Cuyahoga Falls man was heading west on Ira Road in Bath when he drove off the side of the street, according to a report.
The 20-year-old struck a wood fence, bounced back onto the road and then went off again and got stuck in a ditch, said police Chief Michael McNeely. The accident happened around 6:30 p.m.
When officers arrived, they could smell alcohol on the man and when they searched his car, they found a bag of marijuana, the report said. He performed poorly on sobriety tests and blew a .041 in a breath test.
McNeely said the man left 160 feet of skid marks in the road. The man was arrested and police charged him with underage consumption, possession of marijuana and failure to control.
