Dramatic Crash in Bath, But Something Saved Driver's Life

Police say seat belt was key to woman's survival

An 18-year-old Akron woman survived a serious traffic crash Thursday thanks to one thing, Bath police say: her seatbelt.

Officers credit the teen's safety belt with saving her life.

The crash took place about 7 p.m. near the Ghent Road exit. Police said the woman lost control after being forced off the roadway.

Her car came to a stop in the median.
