Cat Shot with Pellet Gun; Officers Seek Man with a Bun: Police Blotter

The following information was provided by the Bath Township Police Department

A Spring Valley Road resident reported Sept. 22 that her cat had been shot with a pellet gun overnight.

She said it's the second incident of a cat in the neighborhood being shot in four years.

The cat survived the shooting, the report said.

Hairstyle Helps Locate Shoplifter

Police went looking for a man with his hair in a bun who allegedly stole items from Acme Sept. 28.

Acme employees said a man wearing a red jacket and his hair in a bun took items about 4:30 p.m.

A report said an officer spotted a man matching the description getting on a Metro bus and detained him. 

The man admitted to taking meat and socks from Acme. Police also found meat from Earth Fare in Fairlawn in the man's bag.

He was arrested for theft.
