A woman who called for help unlocking her vehicle at ended up getting her vehicle towed as she took a police-car ride to jail in Akron – all on her birthday.

The Akron woman called police at 2:17 p.m. Dec. 27 – her 19th birthday – to request assistance for keys locked inside her vehicle.

Police ran a check on her license plate number and discovered it belonged to a 2007 Pontiac – not the 2001 Chevrolet Lumina the plates were affixed to.
