Bath Township Woman's Dog Stops Burglary from Progressing

Information provided by the Bath Township Police Department.

Some time between 11 p.m. and 2 a.m. on Aug. 15 and Aug. 16, a Medina Line Road woman was woken from sleep by her barking dog, according to a report.

At first the woman thought her dog was barking at an animal, which isn't uncommon, she told police. However, when the woman walked into her kitchen, she found out it was more human than animal.

Her kitchen window, which was left slightly open for ventilation, was forced open by someone, the outside and inside window frame was damaged and the open/close mechanism was busted, the report said.
