Bath Police: Burglary Suspect Caught Near Scene of Break-In

Fairlawn police assist in setting containment for arrest.

Bath and Fairlawn police joined forces to catch an Akron man suspected of burglarizing a Bath home early Sunday morning.

Police were called early Sunday by an alarm to a Bath home and found a smashed sliding door in the back of the house. Police noticed a suspicious car parked nearby and apprehended a suspect on Pinepoint Drive near the scene as well. 

Richard T. Price of Akron is charged with receiving stolen property and is being held in Summit County jail.

More charges are expected as police investigate, Bath Police Chief  Michael McNeely said. 

The car, a 1995 Mazda Protege, had been reported stolen in Akron, police said.

Price does not match a description given to police of a suspect in another recent burglary.
