Police took an unusual assault report March 22 from man who said his son was assaulted by rubber bands.

The man told police his son shot a rubber band at a family friend, who got angry and chased his son and tackled him to the ground.

He then "shot a rubber band at the victim numerous times," a report said.

A St. Francis Drive resident may have fallen victim to a con artist when she gave her utility account information to a caller.

The woman reported March 20 that she got a call from someone claiming to be from Dominion East Ohio, who said the PUCO had authorized discounts for some customers.

The caller wanted her account information, but after she provided it, he immediately hung up.

Dominion advised the woman to carefully monitor her personal accounts for suspicious activity.
