Armed Robbers Hit Pharmacy, Hold Employees at Gunpoint
Suspects demand narcotics from pharmacist
Two men armed with handguns robbed the Colonial Pharmacy, 1915 N. Cleveland-Massillon Rd., about 6:45 p.m. Thursday, Bath Township police said.
A news release said one man jumped over the counter and forced the pharmacist to the floor, holding her at gunpoint while the second man demanded a clerk open a locked cabinet and fill a bag with narcotics.
The clerk was also forced at gunpoint to turn over the contents of the cash register.
The suspects then ordered the employees to walk to the front of the store with their hands in the air, while they fled out a rear door.
The employees were not injured.
One suspect was described as a white man with a dark complexion in his 30s. He was 5-feet, 8 or 9 inches tall, had an athletic build and wore a dark hooded sweatshirt.
The other suspect was a white man with a light complexion, in his late 20s or early 30s. He also had an athletic build and wore a bright red sweatshirt and dark skullcap.
