2 Thefts; That's No Way to Buy Beer: Police Blotter

The following information was provided by the Bath Township Police Department

A man trying to buy beer at Acme didn't take no for an answer Aug. 14.

A report said that when the clerk refused to sell it because he had no identification, the man threw $3 on the floor and left with the beer anyway.

An employee tried to stop him, but he kept walking.

He did stop for a police officer, though. He was charged with theft.

Theft from Vehicle

A woman who left her designer purse in the car learned a lesson the hard way.

A report said someone broke the passenger side window between 4:20 and 4:35 p.m. Aug. 12 while the car was parked outside Friendly's.

Taken was a Michael Kors purse, which contained credit cards and $150 in cash.

Theft from Door

A Fairway Drive resident reported several things taken from the front porch Aug. 10 or 11 — including an envelope containing a $100 bill that was taped to the door.
