2 Men Steal Nearly $1,200 in Hollister Clothing, Escape Security

Information provided by the Fairlawn Police Department.

On June 25, a Hollister employee heard the door sensor go off and looked up to see two men run from the store with bags full of clothing, a report said.

The employee attempted to follow the men, but was distracted by someone at the door, the report said. A woman standing by the door held up a pair of shorts she thought set off the sensors.

The Hollister employee caught up with the men running through and out through the parking lot before she lost sight of them. The men made off with $1,135 of merchandise, the report said.

The employee thought the woman with the shorts might have been an accomplice in the crime because when she came back from searching for the men, she was gone.
