John N. Cowley, 87, was born in Akron where he attended Central High School and the University of Akron. He also spent some of his childhoood on a family farm in Tennessee. He was a resident of Fairlawn at the time of his passing.
He retired from Goodyear Tire after 47 years working in tire production and planning management.
He is survived by daughters Pamela of Richmond, VA, and Allison (Timothy) Cowley-Omundson of Los Angeles, CA; granddaughters Lily and Nora; a nephew and a niece.
