Charlene Vargo Kuzda, 37, 1991 Brecksville-Broadview Heights High grad, victim of hit-skip accident in Richfield

Charlene Vargo Kuzda, 37, a 1991 graduate of , and her dog were killed in a hit-skip accident Tuesday, Feb. 15, during an evening walk near her home in Richfield.

The woman who allegedly drove the car that hit Kuzda and her dog has been charged with aggravated vehicular homicide, driving under the influence and leaving the scene of an accident, according to the Richfield police.

Kuzda was assistant manager for the , where she had worked for the last two years.

Survivors include her parents, Raymond and Maryann (nee Rojeck); and sister, Krista Barker.

Calling hours are 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. today, at Mallchok Funeral Home, 5660 Ridge Road, Parma.

Prayer service will take place at 9:15 a.m. Monday, Feb. 21, at the funeral home, followed by 10 a.m. Mass at , 8700 Brecksville Road, Brecksville.
