Ohio Statehouse Celebrates 150th Anniversary
Ohio Statehouse Celebrates 150th Anniversary
Since 1861, the Statehouse has been at the center of Ohio politics. On November 15th, the building celebrated its 150th birthday, and a number of festivities and events were held to commemorate the occasion.
Artists from across the state came to Columbus to show off their works. Additionally, three paintings were unveiled honoring the three Ohio governors who served during the Civil War.
If you have never had the opportunity to take a tour of the Statehouse, I encourage you to do so. It is definitely one of the most historic landmarks in our state.

I also invite you to come to Columbus on Wednesday, November 30th for the annual tree lighting ceremony at the Statehouse. The event will take place from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. There will also be holiday music sung by local choirs, arts and crafts, refreshments and a visit from Santa Claus.
