Ahern's Florist: Now You See It, Now You Don't

The blighted building on West Market and Ghent will be demolished some time this week.

The old Ahern's Florist/Cavalier Cleaners building at the intersection of West Market Street and Ghent Road will be demolished some time early this week, according to Fairlawn Deputy Service Director Ernie Staten.

Demolition will make room for a new Giant Eagle GetGo gas station at that intersection.

Crews are finishing up widening Trunko Road to accommodate the increased traffic and it will be open within a week.
