Week 4 and 5: RHS Football Still Stumbling While the Band Flies High

Find out how the Revere High School marching band and football team have been up to the past two weeks.

After leading the game for the first time this season (7-6 in the first quarter), the Minutemen ended up losing to the Green Bulldogs 19-45 last Friday, September 14.

The next day, the Marching Minutemen took the field for the first time in competition this year at Norton High School for their "Art in Motion" band contest. Despite their fifth place finish, the band received the highest score they've ever achieved at this point in the season. The band as a whole received a 2 (Excellent) while the percussion and color guard sections each received multiple 1 (Superior) and 2 ratings. Next Saturday, the marching band will host sixteen other bands at the Joseph Pappano Stadium for their home contest. Come out to support our marching members! :)

As for the football team this week against Tallmadge, the persistant rain wasn't the only disappointment. The Blue Devils charged ahead early on, scoring their first touchdown within the first two minutes of the game. They continued on, unopposed, until the last thirty seconds of the fourth quarter. The Minutemen were determined to not go scoreless for another game and surged ahead to score their only touchdown in dramatic fashion. Next week, the team faces Wadsworth at home. Come and support RHS!
