Write Us! Send Your Letters to the Editor to Patch

Join the civic conversation with your gripes, your questions and your opinions.

I know you have something to say about the Rothrock Road closure trial. You've been commenting on my live feeds and my stories for the past two weeks. So why not get it all out in one place?

Maybe you want to talk specifically about someone's testimony, or maybe you want to talk about how much closing the road would inconvenience you?

Just like any other news organization, Fairlawn-Bath Patch accepts the classic "Letters to the Editor." We welcome hyper-local topics that might not be relevant to the broader Summit County community, as well as more far-reaching concerns, questions and points of debate.

We want your letters and will run them as often as they come in. Letters should be sent to megan.rozsa@patch.com with the word letter in the subject line.

Here's what we ask from you:

Be respectful. Controversial topics are fine, even encouraged, but we believe strongly that it is possible to disagree without being disagreeable. Be direct and honest. Give us the good, the bad and the ugly (especially if you think your view has not been adequately represented.) However, Patch will not publish letters that are intentionally inflammatory, violent, threatening or racist.

Identify yourself. Letters to the Editor will only be published with the writer's real name. (Your email and phone number should be included so that we can contact you with questions. Your contact information will not be published or shared.)

Letters to Patch may be edited for length and grammar.  We prefer e-mailed letters, but give Megan a call at 330-212-0251 if you need to submit a handwritten letter.

We look forward to hearing from you!
