Chick-fil-A is offering a free breakfast Friday and Saturday, the catch is you need to make a reservation here.

Saturday

Jeff Iula shares 40 years of Akron Soap Box Derby memories from 1-3 p.m. in a book signing at The Bookseller. Iula's book: How I Saw It: My Photographic Memory of the Soap Box Derby is published by University of Akron Press.

Sunday

Faith Lutheran Church will host a special 9/11 service. Speakers in clude Rev. Robert Denton of Victim Assistance and Bishop Elizabeth Eaton assisted by members of St. Hilary Church. There will be a montage of 9/11 video events accompanied by the church's handbell choir.

The will host a 9/11 memorial event at 9:45 a.m. the fire station. Mayor William Roth and a representative of the Fairlawn VFW are scheduled speakers.

The West Akron Ministerial Association will hold an interdenominational remembrance service at 6 p.m. at Temple Israel, 133 Merriman Road, Akron. Red Cross volunteer Scott McKinney will reflect on his first-hand experiences working on relief services at Ground Zero.

A public prayer will be held at 5:30 p.m. on Medina Public Square. Mayor Dennis Hanwell and local clergy will speak. Attendees are asked to bring their own chair.  A dinner and yound adult service follows at Medina Community Church, 416 S. Broadway.
