In this summer heat, kids have to find some creative ways to keep cool outside. A group from the University of Akron biology department gave them just such an opportunity with the Stream Scavenger Hunt at the Bath Nature Preserve, while giving them a chance to learn about their environment at the same time. Kids and families had the chance to take a trip down to the water and learn more about the wildlife from the University of Akron students.
“I want to get kids excited about stuff in their own backyard,” says Caitlin Riley, the graduate student who planned the event.
