Summit County Prosecuting Attorney Sherri Bevan Walsh was recognized for her leadership in areas which improve life for Summit County families with a Public Service Award from the Summit County Children Services.
The ceremony was held April 27.
"It has always been important to me to look out for the welfare of children, both in my personal and professional lives,” Walsh said in a press release. "To be recognized for something that comes naturally to me is truly humbling."
The award was presented by John Saros, executive director of Summit County Children Services. She was one of 16 individuals or groups to receive a Champion for Children award.
