Tornado, Severe Flood Warning Issued For Fairlawn, West Market Under Water

Storm makes driving hazardous, causes power outages

A tornado warning was issued at 4:30 p.m. for Summit County.

Tornado sirens went off in Fairlawn at about that time.

NewsNet5 was not reporting a tornado in the area. 

The rain started falling hard at 3 p.m. and hasn't stopped since. The city issued a severe flood warning through its text alert system and several roads are close to being under water.

West Market Street, along with Trunko, Morewood and several other roads are already there.

Ohio Edison reports about 1,500 customers are without power in the Cuyahoga Falls and Fairlawn area.
