ODOT Closes Westbound Highway out of Akron Friday Night through Monday Morning

Central Interchange to Kenmore Leg closed for night work. Fairlawn and Bath drivers coming from Akron will have to find alternate routes.

Beginning today at 9 p.m. (Aug. 19) until 5 a.m. Monday, the interstate shared by westbound 76 and 77 north will be closed for bridge repairs.

The area of the highway affected is between the Kenmore Leg and the Central Interchange.

The Ohio Department of Transportation will shut down westbound Interstate 76/77 in Akron this weekend to continue working on the highway.
