Memorial Day Activities in Fairlawn and Bath
Here's how you can celebrate Memorial Day outside of a family picnic.
Fairlawn will host a Memorial Day ceremony on Monday at 10 a.m. at The featured speaker will be Sen. Frank LaRose. The ceremony commander is Bruce Kilian, from west Akron.
"This is our annual celebration of life and the memory of those who have given their life for us," said organizer Rev. Walt Chisholm. "Sen. Frank LaRose will talk about the meaning of life and death and the meaning of giving life as well."
Bath Township will also host a ceremony at noon on Monday at Bath Veteran's Memorial Park, which is at the corner of West Bath and Cleveland-Massillon roads.

The marching band will provide music and this year's speaker is Capt. Brandon Calhoun.
