OK, the sun is finally out where you are (hopefully, anyway) and with all that green sprouting up outdoors comes a list of activities you want to do, and a few you're probably not as happy to get to: clean the garage, mow the lawn, pull the weeds, blah, blah, BLAH.

1) Stewart's Caring Place 5th Annual Hope Walk
Stewart's Caring Place provides free services to people who are touched by cancer. Last year’s walkers raised $50,000 which enabled the agency to help many in our community who are touched by cancer. This year's goal is $70,000. If you don't want to walk, you can show up at registration, donate to the cause and wish the walkers well.

Proceeds support The Gathering Place's free programs and services for individuals and families touched by cancer.

3) Bark in the Park, Humane Society of Greater Akron
A pet expo and 1-mile pledge walk for animals and their people sponsored by the Humane Society of Greater Akron.

- Registration: $5 per person, children under 12 and pets are free. Raise or donate $100 and receive a 2011 Bark in the Park T-shirt and a bandana for your pet.

4) Revere High School Promenade
This free event is a red carpet walk for students to strut their stuff (and a photo op for parents) before couples head off to prom. We'll have photos in Monday's .
