Five Things To Do This Weekend

A rummage sale, book fair, ghostly presentation and more are on tap.

Did you know that Fairlawn-Bath Patch and Stow Patch users can tell everyone about their upcoming events on the site for free? Here are five things happening this weekend – all posted in the Fairlawn-Bath Events section or Stow Patch Events section – that you might want to check out:

  • The Humane Society of Greater Akron will hold its in Stow. the event will feature a huge selection of items to help you celebrate all our winter holidays, with proceeds going toward helping rescue and find forever homes for abused, neglected and abandoned animals. The event is free to attend.
  • More than 100 Ohio authors will gather at Fisher Auditorium on the College of Wooster campus from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. The event is free to attend.
  • Quirk Cultural Center in Cuyahoga Falls is hosting local historians/authors Jeri Holland and Carol York for a program called . Cost to attend is $11; call 330-971-8425 to reserve a spot.
  • Adults and crafty teens are invited to try their hand at making greeting cards during from 1 to 4 p.m. today at the Fort Island/Griffiths Park and Resource Center in Fairlawn. Fee is $10 for city residents; $12 for non-city residents.
  • The Stow Players will perform a comedy entitled in Stow. Ticket prices are $12 general admission and $10 for senior citizens and students.
