Revere Teachers Protest Contract -- Revere will begin the school year with unrest between teachers and school officials. Teachers and their supporters showed up last week at a school board meeting to protest the board's decision to impose a contract. Officials say state law gives them no choice in the matter. Teachers say they believe the contract was rescinded and are discussing options -- including legal ones. Read the full story here.

Summit Council Splits Bath District -- Bath residents were dealt a disappointing blow on Monday when Summit County Council voted to split the township into two council districts and pair them with Cuyahoga Falls and Akron. The vote was passed as an emergency over the objections of Bath officials and residents, who say their interests will be overshadowed over the larger urban areas. Read the full story here.
