Cheap Date: Sticky, Sweet Maple Sugar Festival

Pancake breakfast, making maple sugar and history... what could be better?

Looking for a date that's just as sweet and gooey as your relationship? Check out Maple Sugar Festival on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The event is sponsored by Bob Evans Restaurants and features food, history and of course, fun.

You and your honey can enjoy a pancake breakfast, meet the new oxen team that moved from Maine to Hale Farm in January and learn more about the process of maple sugar production.

Other activities include exploring maple sugar production methods in the Sugar Camp, building a log cabin, making maple candy, and enjoying Hale Farm & Village craft and trade demonstrations, including glassblowing, blacksmithing, pottery, and spinning and weaving.
