Bully the Movie will be screened at the UU Church of Akron sponsored by Youth

Bully the Movie, Rated PG 13. Free. A powerful and inspiring film that every educator, parent and teenager should see. Sat, May 25, 5 pm at the UU Church of Akron across from Summit Mall. .

The Community of Youth and Adults at the UU Church of Akron will be hosting a screening of the recently released movie "Bully” on Saturday, May 25 at 5:00 pm.

From the Sundance Award-winning filmmaker, Lee Hirsch, comes an intimate and often shocking glimpse into homes, classrooms and cafeterias and principals’ offices.  This is a powerful and inspiring film that every educator, parent and teenager should see.  The film has inspired “The Bully Project,” a social action campaign that will reach 1 million kids this year.

Bullying has been a growing concern in our schools and neighborhoods.  The popularity of this film has provided an amazing opportunity for folks to discuss concerns and strategies with their kids, schools and communities.

Please join us at the UU Church of Akron, at 3300 Morewood Road, 44333, on Saturday, May 25th at 5:00pm. A discussion will follow the screening.  The film is rated PG-13. Showing is free and open to the public. Refreshments will be served.
