GetGo Officially Coming to West Market Street and Trunko Road

Planning Commission voted to allow Giant Eagle to build at Thursday's meeting.

In August, Giant Eagle will start construction on a GetGo gas station at the corner of West Market Street and Trunko Road.

Fairlawn Planning Commission approve final site plans for the project Thursday night.

The $2.2 million station will have six pumps and a convenience store. Customers traveling east on West Market can make a right turn in, but have to exit at Trunko Road. Customers cannot access the gas station by making a left turn from West Market.

To accommodate the increased traffic at that intersection, Giant Eagle has agreed to pay for more than half of the cost to widen Trunko Road to add a left turn lane and a left turn signal.
