Fairlawn Company Opens Additive Concentrates Plant in Asia

A. Schulman Inc. opened a plant in Vadodora, India.

A. Schulman Inc. opened a new plant near the coastline of the Arabian Sea in India on April 29. 

The plant will facilitate the shipment of raw materials for production and products will be sold into India's packaging, appliance and consumer markets. 

The plant's initial annual production capacity will be about 22 million pounds, according to a story on Plastics News.

Derek Bristow, vice president and general manager for A. Schulman's Asia-Pacific region, said in a prepared statement that the plant will be dedicated to providing solutions for flexible packaging, white goods and cosmetics manufacturers in India.

"By opening this new plant in Vadodara, we are strengthening our position to serve our growing customer base in this attractive market," said Mannar Mannan Shanmugam, A. Schulman's general manager for India, in a press release.
