Fairlawn-Bath Branch Library at Bath Community Day and Copley Heritage Day

Fairlawn-Bath Library will be at this Saturday's Copley Heritage Day and Bath Community Day. Be sure to stop by our table, grab a couple of freebies, do StoryWalk in Bath and say hello!

Two great annual events are going on this weekend in our neck of the woods, and the Fairlawn-Bath Branch of the Akron-Summit County Public Library plans to be there to join in the festivities!  Bath Community Day and Copley Heritage Day will both be exciting reasons to get out and enjoy some fun in the sun.  And we have some fun things planned.

Bath Community Day starts with a Pancake Breakfast from 7:30-11am, and then a parade from 11am-12:00.  After the parade, make sure you stop by the tent where we will have a table of freebies and information staffed by our adult services librarian Brian Burch.  He would love to discuss anything with you from library services such as ebooks and programs, to various movies, books and other topics of interest.  For a complete schedule of events at Bath Community Day, click here.

Brian is also very excited about StoryWalk, which originated in Vermont, and ties in very well with our Mind, Body & Sole program going on through September 10th.  Like Mind, Body & Sole, StoryWalk promotes physical fitness and literacy skills by creating opportunities to read and walk outdoors.

At Copley Heritage Day, our branch manager Jane Scott will have a table with lots of fun goodies on it starting at 1:00, so make sure you stop and talk to her!  The Rescue and Fire Association will host a Pancake Breakfast from 8am-12:00 at the Copley Fire Station. The afternoon will be kicked off when the War of 1812 cannon is fired.  A parade will take place at 6pm.  There will also be great family activities at the middle school, including a bounce house, rock climbing wall, bungee run, fun house and dunk tank.

Join us at one or both of these great community events this weekend.  If you come, make sure you take some time to enjoy StoryWalk and say hello to Jane and Brian who will be out there in the community hoping for the chance to talk to you.
