What's the Worst Song to Have Stuck in Your Head?

You know, those pesky earworms? Tell us what song you hate having in your head and we'll make a playlist.

We've all had songs stuck in our head that aren't necessarily terrible, but when it's the last thing rolling around your head when you're trying to go to sleep or when you're trying really hard to concentrate, it's pretty darn annoying.

So we want to know what you think the peskiest earworm is so we can compile a Spotify playlist, and then we can all commiserate (or laugh) together.

Maybe it's the Macarena (who knows the words to that song, anyway?), or maybe it's the Spice Girls' Wannabe (tell me what you really, really want). Whatever it is, we want to know.

Tell us in the comments! You have until 5 p.m. Thursday, and the playlist will be available Friday morning.

Oh, yes! The only time I actually like this song is when I'm visiting Disney. How often does that happen? :)

Partridge Family - I think I love you! AARRRGGHHHH !

HAAAAATE that song. I call the child who sings it "that adenoidal spawn of Satan."
Ken Palosi August 06, 2012 at 11:51 PM
When my grandchildren were little I provided daycare for them; (see http://northcanton.patch.com/blog_posts/grandpa-daycare) and they just loved The Wiggles. One song Quack Quack sung by Captain Feathersword keep me awake nights for almost a week. "Quack quack, quack quack cockadoodle doo." Might be a mistake bringing this up. I could be awake all night tonight with it playing in my mind.

Anything from Lady Gaga, Party Rock Anthem by LFMAO. I could pretty much say the entire play list that 104.1 has. I listened to that station all day one day and heard the same song 4 times.

It's a Small World!

It's a Small World. A t least it's a happy place.
Sara Schlayer August 07, 2012 at 02:24 AM
Those songs were bad. I present to you all the worst song in the history of singing, and good luck with the brain lock: "A Horse with No Name." Pure crap.
Sara Schlayer August 07, 2012 at 02:29 AM
I've been trying to flush that miserable song out of my brain since I was a very young child. You have now re-injected it. I will now go outside and howl at the moon.

How's this duo: Convoy by C.W. McCall and The Mah-nama-NAH song by the Muppets.
I.M. Wright August 07, 2012 at 10:21 AM
I love people who copy and paste stuff w/out knowing what they're talking about. A commercial jingle is NOT a song. I know from professional experience. You don't. Unless you'd like to share with us your professional experience
I.M. Wright August 07, 2012 at 10:22 AM
This Family Guy episode was just on TBS last night.
I.M. Wright August 07, 2012 at 10:23 AM
" I listened to that station all day one day and heard the same song 4 times." Because that's how formats that primarily program CURRENT music -- and to their target demo (which you are not!) have been programmed for years!
I.M. Wright August 07, 2012 at 10:25 AM
This song was a piece of crap when it was released in 1983, and 29 years later, it still sucks. That song would be the seasonal turd by Elmo & Patsy called "Grandma Got Run Over By A Reindeer."
Deena Weber August 07, 2012 at 12:02 PM
Do you know what I love "I.M. Wright"? People who are self-proclaimed know it alls who like to go on social website for the purpose of being confrontational and berating other people while being so cowardly that they have to hide behind a fictional name. Here are a few more definitions I have copied and pasted for your enjoyment: jingle: A short song, usually mentioning a brand or product benefit, used in a commercial. douchbag: An individual who has an over-inflated sense of self worth, compounded by a low level of intellegence, behaving ridiculously in front of colleagues with no sense of how moronic he appears.
T. Bush August 07, 2012 at 04:02 PM
OK, song change, this is in my head now. Every year when they'd start advertising, my colleague and myself would constantly sing it at work.
Tim Torrence August 07, 2012 at 06:12 PM
Get this song out of your head. Ten straight hours in this YouTube video. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HmcP3MShzS0

I'm also going to add Purple People Eater. You're welcome.
James Thomas August 09, 2012 at 02:37 PM
The song that will drive out all others: George of the Jungle.
Chuckes The Clown August 10, 2012 at 02:39 PM
Worst Commercial Jingle that gets stuck in there: WE ARE FARMERS, bum budda dum dum dum dum dum
EriK... August 10, 2012 at 05:41 PM
Once heard, cannot be unheard, "They're Coming to Take Me Away Ha-Haaa!" by Napoleon XIV. And, if you can sing along with the b-side, you deserve everything you get!!!
Mark McEwen August 10, 2012 at 09:49 PM
How about Henry the VIII by Hemans Hermits. It makes me suicidal.
David Bly August 11, 2012 at 12:50 AM
One of the all time voted bad song ever played "we built this city" by starship
Carol Donofrio August 11, 2012 at 01:54 AM
I agree lyn. It is so awful in so many ways. I am a Fox 8 fan but will tune out until they are done with that one. I was thinking that whoever thought that was a good idea should be looking for a different job.

"I got married to the widow next door... She's been married seven times before."
Melissa Hebert August 11, 2012 at 12:32 PM
Also in the equine vein: "She ran calling Wiiiiiiiiiiiiildfiiiiiiiiire..."
Daniel F August 14, 2012 at 12:25 AM
