Photo of the Day: Copley Veggie Monster Attacks Brecksville!

Vegetable sculptures were part of the children's competition in the Red, White and Blooming Flower show.

first grader Sam Poole won a ribbon for his monster made of butternut squash in the Red, White and Blooming Flower Show in Brecksville this weekend.

The Monster Veggie contest was for young gardeners 5-7 years old.

Mom Lisa Poole says her 6-year-old son Sam made his entry at the last minute. (His grandmother is an avid gardener.)

The family lives in Copley Township.
