Arts Brief: Fairlawn Concert Series
Hear jazz in the park tonight from the Stingers.
Fairlawn Parks and Recreation Department hosts the jazz band the Stingers at 7 p.m. tonight at . Bring your lawn chairs and enjoy the show.
The Stingers are an Akron-based band that includes Bill Brauning (bass), Bill Moriarty (keys), Tom Konopka (drums), Brad Bolton (guitar), John Morton (vocals) and an evolving horn section.
According to Brauning, the Stingers play Latin jazz and popular smooth jazz covers by artists including: Marc Antoine, Jeff Golub, the Crusaders and Peter White.
