Revere Boys Lose in District Final 

The Minutemen ended a strong season with a 65-62 loss to Lakewood St. Edward’s Eagles  in the Division I Basketball finals at Brecksville-Broadview Heights High School. Revere finished with a 21-2 record. Check out the full story here.

 Gasoline Alley Servers Donate Tips to Japan Relief

Bartenders Andrea Staiger and Steve Bushong used their personal facebook sites to let regular customers know they would donate their tips to help with relief efforts in Japan.  The pair raised nearly $300 in one shift and Staiger continued to donate a percentage of her tips through the week.  Revere Schools Cut Jobs

At a meeting before a full house last week Revere Local Schools Board of Education voted to cut 34 teachers for the 2012 school year. Superintendent Randy Boroff said the district could call back some of the teachers if   on May 3 passes. Check out the full story here. 

Senate Bill 5 Rally Draws Hundreds

Some 400-plus people gathered at the Laborers International Temple in Akron to protest Senate Bill 5. The pending legislation would slash collective bargaining rights for union workers and prohibit them from going on strike.
