Pets of the Week: Shades and Lou Ann

These pets are looking for a new home.

The Humane Society of Greater Akron is offering these animals for adoption.

Shades

Shades is a Bull Terrier/Jack Russell mix that was born in January 2011 and will probably grow to be a medium-size boy. This sweetheart arrived at the shelter after he was found hit by a car. Unfortunately, the injury to his back leg was too bad and he needed it amputated. You would never guess this handsome man is a tripod. He is getting around wonderfully and still loves to run and play. He gets along great with other doggies and loves to give kisses. We know his future is bright, so stop down and meet Shades.

Lou Ann

Lou Ann has come a long way with us; from a shy kitty that wouldn’t come out of her cage, she is now one heck of a lap cat. Our volunteers tell us she is very affectionate, she snuggles under their chin and they describe her as very lovey when you hold her. This black beauty has a white spot on her chest, but a spot on your lap would look even better on her.
