Pets of the Week: Cookie and Tango

The Humane Society of Greater Akron  is offering these animals for adoption.

Cookie

Cookie is a 3-year-old Miniature Pinscher mix that weighs about 15 pounds. This cutie has a unique under bite that only adds to her distinctive look! She loves to play fetch, will bring the ball back for you to throw again and again. She has potential with the right dog but would also be happy being the only pooch in the palace. If you think this Cookie seems sweet, stop by the HSGA and check her out.

Tango

Tango first arrived with an injured leg and unfortunately the damage was too severe. Now she is Tango the Tripod, and she is getting around great (you hardly know that she is missing anything). Tango comes right out of her cage and jumps on the nearest lap. She loves people and is always waiting at the front of her cage to say hello. She’s not fond of most kitties; at best may be tolerant, but she’d probably prefer to be an only cat. And have we mentioned she’s gorgeous? Look at the white rings around her eyes -- stunning! But we think she’d be happier with your arms around her.

Adoption Fees:

Dogs and Puppies: $99
Senior dog over 6 years old: $40
Senior to Senior Program - Senior person over 60 adopts a senior dog: $15
Kittens: $75
Cats - over 6 months: $50
Rabbits: $40

Adopters age 60 or older may adopt a dog, 3 years or older or a cat, 5 years or older without paying the adoption fee. Proof of age is required.

All animals are spayed or neutered before leaving the shelter, have received a microchip and have had age-appropriate vaccinations and flea treatment.
