Have You Seen or Survived A Tornado?

Patch explores the last time a tornado touched down in Summit County after severe weather warnings on Wednesday

While the severe weather in the Fairlawn-Bath area on Wednesday caused power outages,  four tornadoes touched down in Ohio in Ashtabula, Huron, Sandusky, and Tuscarawas counties. As I waited the rain out, I wondered when the last time a tornado touched down in Summit County.

According to the Tornado History Project, seven tornadoes have touched down in Summit County since 1963, causing a total of one injury and no fatalities.

The most recent tornado was in May, 2011, just north of Akron.
